Embark on a journey with the world’s largest international airline and become a vital part of our cutting-edge information and technology team as a Senior Software Engineer - Oracle ERP (EBS in HR Domain). The Senior Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team working independently on software development and problem resolution. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Working with senior technical engineers in the technical design process by contributing to the analysis of technical application requirements.
- Converting technical solutions for small to medium sized initiatives into low level design and working code.
- Independently writing secure and optimized code through the implementation of Emirates Group approved coding standards.
- Participating in rotational on-call support and actively resolving production issues within SLAs with minimal or no active supervision.
- Ensuring built-in quality and 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
- Analyzing and fixing all identified defects with minimal rework.
- Ensuring re-factoring practices are adequately adopted to minimize code debt.
- Implementing logging and monitoring hooks as part of code development.
- Continuously staying up to date with relevant technologies and implementing learnings to enhance code quality.
- Adhering to Emirates Group IT coding standards, guidelines, and best practices, contributing to Software Engineering Playbooks and other Standards documents.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Full implementation, upgrade, and support of Oracle E-business Suite (EBS) and development/enhancement
- Oracle application framework (OAF)
- PL/SQL, Oracle workflows, XML Publisher
- Proficiency in Oracle AME
- Familiarity with Oracle Access Manager and Java/JavaScript
- Familiarity in exposing RESTful APIs through integrated SOA gateway
- Strong HR Functional experience in Core HR, Payroll, SSHR, Absence Management, OTL, Advance Benefits, OLM
