Technical Engineer - Enterprise Technology

As a Technical Engineer, you will take an active role in Technology Implementation and Operational Support of the relevant technology area for production & development, including configuration, testing, implementation, and support. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Providing technical input to assist with Capacity Management, IT Service Continuity and Availability.
• Ensuring that assigned incidents are resolved within agreed Service Levels, providing workarounds to minimize business impact when necessary.
• Defining and analyzing assigned problems in line with the Problem Management Process.
• Ensuring that solutions to problems meet architectural and security standards, minimizing impact to the business.
• Offering technical consultancy and guidance to teams within the technology area and acting as a technical member in project teams for work packages assigned.
• Identifying areas of improvement within the relevant technology area and assisting in the implementation of service improvement programs initiated to enhance service levels.

Requirements

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), Degree in Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience
• 3 years of specialized technical experience in a business IT environment
• Knowledge of ITIL Framework, Ddb MAPI, EMS, MQ, MQ Software (QPasa), Radia Software Distribution, Tibco
