Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Drive business engagement, apply design thinking principles, and shape the product roadmap to deliver innovative travel solutions that align with our strategic goals.
- Define and prioritize features leading your technology teams to deliver new products and service capabilities that provide outstanding value across all channels—whether it’s for customers, travel agents, or internal employees.
- Support the delivery of technology products and solutions and ensure the effectiveness of all technology features aligned to the Product’s vision and roadmap.
- Lead a team of Technical Product Owners (TPO) to understand, assess, and decompose prioritised initiatives into Technical Features within the engineering team backlogs, focusing on MVP (Minimum Viable Product).
- Collaborate with TPOs (technical product owners), peer groups, vendors, and other IT stakeholder groups to deliver ongoing and future Program Increment Planning (PIs), utilizing business value, assessing available capacity, and effectively sequencing and prioritizing backlogs.
- Engage in the preparation and delivery of PI demos to the stakeholder group via Inspect & Adapt workshops with the overall goal of driving increased use and adoption.
- Develop and mentor TPOs, supporting their professional development.
- Drive the partnership with applicable product vendors, ensuring timely feature/product upgrades and maximizing the product's efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
This job might be for you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years’ experience in product in a team-facing capacity.
- 8+ years practical experience working as a Product Manager including leading product owners, with a proven record of driving discernible ideation, change, and delivery.
- Strong communication skills at peer, line, and stakeholder levels.
- Demonstrated evidence of knowledge in the technical area and its application with a strong understanding of the travel industry and associated products (flights, hotels, experiences, destination management).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Business Analysis and Consultancy expertise, with travel agency or destination management experience as an advantage.
