As one of the world’s leading digital transformation service providers, we are expanding our Data teams in the Middle East to meet the increasing client demand for our services. We are looking to hire someone at either Senior Manager or Director level within the Data Science Consulting & Data Analytics Practice, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions specifically in the Energy/Oil & Gas sector. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work with leading-edge data technologies and play a highly visible role across the data practice, partnering closely with clients to help drive local market growth.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in Data Science/AI/ML, driving the design, development, and implementation of solutions for clients in the Oil & Gas/Energy sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop data models, and apply appropriate ML algorithms to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Identify new AI/ML opportunities through solution selling or by securing funding, engaging senior decision-makers effectively.
- Shape data solutions, scope and price engagements, establish optimal operating models, and lead the transition from sales to delivery phase.
- Focus on practical AI application frameworks, including Data, MLOps, and LLMOps, and actively participate in developing Generative AI, Responsible AI, ESG, and AI Security offerings.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction through effective project delivery, communication, and timely issue resolution.
- Engage with client executives up to C-level to maximize growth through enterprise-wide strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML and emerging technologies, proactively recommending new approaches and methodologies.
- Support pre-sales activities by assessing Data opportunities, responding to RFPs, and creating proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or extensive relevant work experience.
- Fluent English speaker, with Arabic being a strong advantage.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the Oil & Gas/Energy sector.
- Significant experience in a senior or leadership role within Data Science & Data Analytics Technology Consulting.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing AI/ML, Generative AI, and MLOps solutions.
- Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and ML libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms, data pre-processing, feature selection, and model evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to secure funding or sell AI/ML projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Confidence in presenting analysis and recommendations to senior management and board level where appropriate.
- Ideally, experience supporting sales teams or in pre-sales roles.
