Position

In the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) within Assurance, we assist clients in addressing accounting and financial reporting challenges. As part of a team, you will provide insights and services that enhance analytics, decision-making, and innovation for a more efficient finance function. This role offers ongoing professional development through diverse experiences, world-class learning, and individually tailored coaching. The FAAS practice is one of the fastest-growing areas of our business, requiring a Senior Consultant to support large-scale projects related to accounting advisory services on Mergers & Acquisitions, IPO Readiness Assessments, GAAP Conversions, and new accounting standards implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the impact of new accounting standards, proposed transactions, or regulatory changes for a diverse range of clients.
  • Build and maintain strong networks internally and externally.
  • Report to Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners during various engagement stages.
  • Provide advisory services for M&A integration, IPOs, SPACs, and divestitures, ensuring high-quality reporting.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work in line with EY policies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other EY locations, service lines, and specialists to provide integrated services.
  • Monitor engagement economics against financial metrics and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Consult on complex accounting issues to ensure clarity and accuracy of FAAS work products.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Proactive, accountable, and results-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum three years of experience in auditing or consulting.
  • CPA / CA / ACCA certification.
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing processes.
  • Proven experience with IFRS.
  • Strong technical skills and risk management ability.
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a leading audit firm.
  • Proficiency in the Arabic language.
  • Experience in sectors such as Construction, Energy, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, and Healthcare.
