ExpressVPN is seeking Analytics Engineers to join our fast-growing Data Science and Analytics team in Dubai. The Analytics Engineers play a crucial role in connecting various engineering and data teams and ensuring a seamless flow of information across our consumer-facing company.
About the Data Science and Analytics Team
Our team serves as a central hub, linking various data producers and consumers throughout the organization. We support engineering teams that rely on combined data sources, analysts within the Data Science and Analytics group, and business stakeholders—primarily in marketing—up to the Chief Marketing Officer.
We Are Accountable for:
- Delivering a centralized data platform that enables data ingestion, anonymization, and enrichment from diverse sources.
- Providing robust data pipelines for analytical reports and machine learning models.
- Connecting internal and external data sources to support data-heavy applications focused on marketing.
- Maintaining a data catalog that documents data sources for utilization by other teams.
Our Responsibilities Include:
- Building and operating a data platform service while defining and tracking its SLA.
- Guiding engineering teams in designing scalable data models and schemas.
- Assisting data analysts in effectively utilizing the data platform.
- Implementing libraries/modules and reference implementations for data ingestion across different tech stacks.
- Ensuring compliance with user privacy policies by retaining veto rights over data processing.

We primarily utilize a tech stack that includes Databricks, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Athena, dbt, and Tableau. Our team encompasses various engineering roles, welcoming professionals with backgrounds in software development, infrastructure operations, data modeling, and data science.
What You’ll Do
- Understand business requirements and translate them into maintainable and extensible data models.
- Deliver high-performing, well-defined, transformed, tested, and documented data models.
- Develop data orchestration processes while adhering to their SLA and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to enhance and streamline the data platform.
- Implement and maintain data quality standards and governance practices.
- Maintain comprehensive data documentation and definitions.
- Train other stakeholders, including data engineers and analysts, on navigating and utilizing established data models.
What You’ll Bring
- Proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of query optimization.
- Proficiency in PySpark and Spark SQL.
- Experience with Databricks and data modeling.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.
- Experience with data warehouses such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Experience with dbt (data build tool) is advantageous.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
