We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work closely with a sales representative in a defined territory. The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with Enterprise customers, from initial RFIs to RFPs & RFQs when required.
- Actively participate in POCs in partnership with relevant teams both internally and with customers or commercial partners.
- Listen and understand the technical requirements of customers to build competitive solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in collaboration with sales partners.
- Continuously improve knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining an understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Regional Systems Engineers to ensure customers recognize the value Fortinet delivers.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers while delivering outstanding service and problem resolution.
- Position Fortinet solutions effectively, whether remotely or in person, requiring strong communication skills.
- Manage time effectively while working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).
Qualifications:
- High aptitude for security technology, specifically encryption, authentication, and knowledge of network security, including intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, and switching.
- Previous experience in network security and knowledge of SASE, VPN, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Intrusion Prevention, and Content Filtering.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to solve complex problems systematically.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction; travel will be required.
- Previous experience in a pre-sales engineer role managing technical aspects of deals.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills impacting key wins within your organization.
- Effective communication skills for maintaining customer relationships, while conveying technical information to various stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
