As a Cloud Engineer - Operation in our team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud-based services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments, leveraging automation and best practices for efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management Cloud Engineer - Operation:
    • Define, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure and AWS.
    • Ensure the scalability, availability, and performance of cloud-based services.
  • Monitoring and Service Management:
    • Implement and manage monitoring solutions for cloud environments to proactively identify and address performance issues.
    • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, resolve issues promptly within SLA, Change creation, CAB representation, Problem management.
    • Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
  • Automation and Scripting:
    • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning (Infrastructure as Code).
    • Implement configuration management tools for consistent and automated system configurations.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Managing and securing our PKI infrastructure.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to align cloud infrastructure with business requirements.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Identify and implement optimizations for cloud resources to improve performance and cost efficiency.
    • Conduct regular performance assessments and capacity planning.
    • Pro-active approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup:
    • Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud-based services.
    • Conduct regular testing of disaster recovery procedures.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).
  • Proficient in using CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI and Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure ARMs).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitoring Service, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring, and Graylog/Loki for logging.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Vendor Certification in Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, ITIL.
