The Senior Specialist - Technical Architecture plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding the technological infrastructure and strategy of the organization. They are responsible for aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and secure. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.

Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on capabilities as a sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, the organization brings generative AI, cybersecurity, professional, and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.

Responsibilities

  • Baselining ASIS: Assist in setting and establishing architectural baselines, data capturing, and capabilities required for the Operational EA function.
  • EA Function Rollout: Support the overall EA function rollout and operational activities.
  • Strategic Planning: Help develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
  • Technology Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear technology roadmap that outlines the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time.
  • Solution Design: Guide the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions to ensure consistency, compatibility, scalability, and security.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the enterprise architecture operations and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to align and evolve EA standards through efficient planning and requirements gathering.
  • Governance: Provide oversight and governance for projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies.
  • Vendor Management: Participate in evaluating and selecting technology vendors and partners, managing relationships to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, promoting innovation and excellence in architecture and design.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, driving continuous improvement of enterprise architecture.
  • Capability Framework: Promote, drive, and operate the EA Capability framework, helping it evolve over time.
  • Cloud & AI Capabilities: Contribute to cloud strategy and drive cloud and AI initiatives in line with EA directives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
    • Preferred certifications in various technology streams and Azure.
    • TOGAF Certification.
  • Minimum Experience:

    • Overall IT experience of 8 years with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant field.
    • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role, with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise systems integration, data architecture, and security principles.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies, agile development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
    • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL, change management, and organizational transformation initiatives.
