The Senior Specialist - Technical Architecture plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding the technological infrastructure and strategy of the organization. This position is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and secure. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.
Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on capabilities as a sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, we bring generative AI, cybersecurity, and professional services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting and establishing architectural baselines, data capturing, and capabilities required for the Operational EA function.
- Support the overall EA function rollout and operational activities.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Define and communicate a clear technology roadmap outlining the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time.
- Guide the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions, ensuring consistency, compatibility, scalability, and security.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the enterprise architecture and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to evolve EA standards and align them with EA objectives.
- Provide oversight and governance for projects to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies.
- Participate in evaluating and selecting technology vendors and manage vendor relationships.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, promoting innovation and excellence in architecture and design.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement of the enterprise architecture.
- Promote and operate the EA Capability framework and help evolve it over time.
- Assist in driving cloud strategy and participate in cloud and AI initiatives in line with EA directives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications in technology streams, Azure certifications, and TOGAF certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role, with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise systems integration, data architecture, and security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and agile development practices.
- Understanding of business process modeling and re-engineering, IT service management frameworks such as ITIL, and experience with organizational transformation initiatives.
