To maintain a competitive advantage as we expand, we are currently seeking a Senior Apex Implementation Engineer. The ideal candidate will support the Apex Production environment, handle business-as-usual operations, and investigate issues related to application support.

Job Purpose:

We seek an experienced Implementation Engineer to join our team, focusing on business-critical operations such as back-office processing, issue investigation, and resolution.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

  • Perform end-of-day operations, including pricing and merchant payouts.
  • Install and configure applications for new projects.
  • Assist in the smooth execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Triage issues escalated by the call desk or received as system alerts.
  • Diagnose issues and take remedial actions within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Close each ticket with comprehensive details, including timeline, impact, and future remediation references.
  • Communicate effectively within and outside the company when addressing issues.
  • Willing to work on a shift-based rota that includes night hours and weekends.

Technical/Professional Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on application support experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science.
  • Experience with Apex Clearing & Merchant systems.
  • Knowledge of pricing and payout processes within the merchant acquiring landscape.
  • Proficient in SQL queries and capable of navigating application logs and exceptions.
  • Market and industry knowledge of the payment sector, especially within acquiring domains.
