Job Summary:

We are actively seeking an experienced engineer to fill the critical role of Chief Engineer - System Architecture within our esteemed System Design department. In this pivotal position, the Chief Engineer focuses on the acquisition, implementation, and optimization of System Engineering (SE and MBSE) tools. This role involves providing expert support to System Engineers in the development of requirement baselines, functional architectures, physical architectures, and verification and testing plans. The Chief Engineer in System Architecture plays a central role in shaping and enhancing the system design processes, ensuring the effective utilization of tools and methodologies for optimal outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the procurement and implementation of System Engineering (SE) tools, specializing in Requirement Management & SE, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the System Engineering team.
  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions to equip team members with advanced proficiency in SE tools, ensuring they become expert users.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers to develop requirement baselines, ensuring clear, concise, and accurate specifications for missile systems.
  • Provide hands-on support in the creation of functional architectures and physical architectures, aligning them with project objectives and customer requirements.
  • Assist in the formulation of comprehensive verification and testing plans, ensuring that they are robust, reliable, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Evaluate and monitor the usage of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools to ensure optimal benefits are derived, and keep abreast of the latest advances in the field.
  • Advise and mentor System Engineers and System Design Engineers on the effective use of MBSE tools, providing ongoing technical support and guidance.
  • Oversee the System Architecture team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure they consistently deliver high-quality results.
  • Incorporate advanced MBSE tools and practices into the System Design process, enhancing modeling capabilities and overall system architecture.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in System Architecture, with a focus on missile systems.
  • Proficiency in Requirement Management & System Engineering tools.

Preferred:

  • 15+ years of experience in System Architecture in a missile production company.
  • Certification in relevant System Engineering tools and methodologies.

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
