Position

The Senior Manager Technology - Security Operations (SecOps) is a strategic role responsible for overseeing critical security operations functions. This includes managing Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) incidents, all SecOps projects, architecture design, technology refresh initiatives, and evaluations for Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Value (POV). The position involves solution evaluation, creation of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI), implementation of security governance and compliance frameworks, as well as DDoS solutions.

The role demands exceptional stakeholder management, conflict management, and technical expertise to ensure robust cybersecurity defenses are in place that align with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Incident and Crisis Management: Lead the response to P1/P2 incidents, ensuring rapid detection, containment, and resolution while minimizing business impact. Oversee post-incident reviews and root cause analyses to implement preventive measures.
  • Project and Program Management: Manage all SecOps projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery aligned with strategic goals. Drive technology refresh initiatives to modernize security infrastructure.
  • Architecture and Solution Design: Lead the design of secure, scalable, and resilient security architectures. Conduct POC/POV evaluations to assess new security technologies and create RFPs/RFIs to procure best-in-class security tools and services.
  • Security Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce security governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards. Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures to support a strong security posture.
  • DDoS Protection: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of DDoS mitigation solutions. Monitor and respond to DDoS threats to ensure business continuity.
  • Stakeholder and Conflict Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align security initiatives with business needs. Manage conflicts effectively to maintain operational harmony.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for SecOps, incorporating emerging threats and technologies. Mentor and guide SecOps teams to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of security architecture, incident response, and DDoS mitigation strategies.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning abilities.
  • Expertise in security governance and compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with security gateways and related tools.
