Help AG, an e& enterprise company, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Security Engineer (PaloAlto NGFW) to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network security, endpoint protection, and advanced traffic management, coupled with a proactive approach to mitigating cyber threats. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will engage with cutting-edge technologies across a range of security domains, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), firewall management, VPNs, endpoint security, and traffic optimization systems. Your responsibilities will include safeguarding our infrastructure and ensuring optimal security system performance against emerging threats.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for in-scope technologies for Help AG customers.
- Design, deploy, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IP networks and interconnected network security technologies.
- Provide timely responses to incidents, outages, and performance alerts, and handle escalated incidents effectively.
- Collaborate with technology support groups as part of problem resolution efforts.
- Support operational needs while ensuring minimal downtime for critical services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of complex IP networks with at least 8+ years of experience in network/security engineering roles.
- Solid understanding of network security technologies and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with various security controls including PaloAlto Next-Generation Firewalls, Firewall Management, DDI (Infoblox), F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM), VPN Technologies (Pulse Secure), and Endpoint Security (Trend Micro Deep Security).
- Demonstrated experience in high-pressure, customer-facing environments, with familiarity in ITIL processes.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a professional attitude, organized, and detail-oriented.
