Position

As an IT Business Analyst at HSBC, you will be engaged in the Regional Digital and Channels Transformation Technology. Your main responsibility will be to collaborate with business counterparts for requirements gathering and facilitation of technical initiatives across the MENAT region, focusing on "change the bank" initiatives related to customer and staff channels. This role serves as a single point of contact for teams throughout the MENAT region.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the review and approval of requirements from stakeholders.
  • Participate in design discussions and workshops.
  • Write user stories and conduct grooming sessions.
  • Provide initial sign-off on development post-testing and deliver demos to the Product Owner (PO) and other stakeholders for final approval.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and production environments.
  • Collaborate with partner system Business Analysts and engage in stakeholder management.
  • Prepare use case diagrams, UMLs, sequence diagrams, and Visio flows.
  • Act as the interface between the business, customers, and the development team, managing requests and ensuring clarity in product requirements.
  • Analyze impacts of change requests on existing business processes and assist in prioritizing these requests.
  • Create requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria, and support the development team.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, sprint review, and backlog refinement meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is essential.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical environment, preferably within the digital channels domain.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines, readiness to work extended hours.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders, including external vendors.
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to adapt in an unstructured and changing environment, managing an evolving backlog.
  • Customer-focused with a results-based approach.

Language Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
