About the Job
As a Senior Information Security Operations Specialist at HungerStation, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our security platforms, specifically focusing on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR). You will develop and administer Security Operations Center (SOC) controls, processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring they are effectively applied within the HungerStation environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and reviewing SIEM/EDR monitoring and performance metrics (KPIs) to measure and report performance.
- Monitoring security events/incidents and reacting through predefined actions.
- Conducting security event analysis, identifying false positives, and escalating events to the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) as necessary.
- Leading incident detection, containment, eradication, and recovery procedures.
- Implementing security automation capabilities to enhance response times and optimize incident response operations.
- Promoting adherence to security policies and procedures within the organization and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
What You Need to Be Successful
- A degree in computer science or software engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in security, preferably within a Cyber Security firm.
- Proficiency with log management tools and security event correlation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with SOAR tools, including playbook development and integration.
- A strong foundation in MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and Malware Analysis.
- Knowledge of Network Security Monitoring and experience responding to various attack vectors (e.g., malware, data exfiltration, DDoS, phishing).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, GCIH, GCIA) are a plus.
