Position

The Murex Back Office Consultant will be part of the GM IT Operations Squad responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets Operations team. The squad focuses on support, change requests, and projects related to Global Markets Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the business, conduct analysis, and develop requirements.
  • Review technical and functional design, and build and test solutions.
  • Ensure proper closure of various initiatives by taking ownership/accountability end-to-end.
  • Act as a key liaison with Global Markets Operation teams, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Define systems and data requirements and validate systems design and processes.
  • Configuration of the solution as per requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Murex suite of tools used within Operations.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and execute system testing.
  • Contribute to User Training activities and prepare user training guides and presentations.
  • Follow up with vendor support to resolve bugs/issues.
  • Ensure a proper technical and functional handover of projects and changes.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 7–9 years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Murex Operations.
  • Expertise in back-office workflow (contracts, events, deliverables), MXML development, and configuration.
  • Experience in a banking environment or IT company, particularly with Murex v3.1.
  • Strong knowledge of Capital Markets products and processes.
  • Familiarity with Murex Static data and Operations processes.
  • Good understanding of SWIFT messages configuration.
  • Comprehensive back-office functional knowledge across various asset classes, including Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, and more.
  • Technically astute with relevant exposure to bank systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with stakeholders and a proven track record in specification documents and testing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
