About
At Mace, our purpose is to redefine the boundaries of ambition. We believe in creating places that are responsible, bringing transformative impact to our people, communities, and societies across the globe. Our consult business harnesses a unique combination of leading-edge practical construction expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock potential in every project.

This role represents a significant opportunity to develop your career while delivering one of the most ambitious infrastructure schemes in the UAE. The project, with a target completion date of 2033 and a significant budget of AED 25 billion (£5.2 billion), aims to enhance Dubai’s stormwater drainage capacity by 700% to over 20 million cubic meters of water per day, addressing the Emirate’s needs for the next century.

Key elements of the project include the improvement of infiltration and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS), upgrading existing stormwater systems in three major catchment areas, and proposing new stormwater tunnels across these areas, including major link tunnels. You will support clients and project teams in developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, and lead the delivery of the information management function.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading the administration of standards and procedures for GIS in adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Designing GIS, database, and analytical processes including system development to meet project needs.
  • Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of GIS applications.
  • Managing and reviewing GIS submissions from design consultants and contractors.
  • Enforcing high-quality standards for GIS data submissions within project timelines.
  • Facilitating and supporting the integration of building information modelling (BIM) and GIS applications.
  • Serving as the primary interface between authorities and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
  • Consolidating programme-wide GIS data into a unified source of truth to enhance data integrity.
  • Advising on innovative methods to leverage GIS data, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Providing technical guidance on GIS applications to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identifying GIS requirements and opportunities in collaboration with various functions and departments.
  • Contributing to the common goal of net zero carbon transition and managing associated carbon emissions during project delivery.

You’ll Need To Have:

  • A relevant degree qualification.
  • Professional membership or demonstrable personal development in your field.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations impact project outlooks.
