In this internship, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services. Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is dedicated to providing an inclusive environment, fostering personal and professional development through various training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
As a successful Critical Environment Technician Intern, your day-to-day work will include:

  • Performing assigned basic tasks with varying levels of supervision.
  • Learning how to operate all systems and equipment safely.
  • Monitoring and inspecting critical environment-related facility equipment.
  • Tracking equipment assets and completing work order requests.
  • Assisting in providing emergency monitoring and response to abnormal conditions.
  • Participating in troubleshooting complex systems with guidance from senior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Currently studying at a Technical Preparatory Year or at a technical college.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering diploma level 2.
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Proficient in written and oral English communication.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
