Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services and focuses on delivering high-quality infrastructure to support cloud operations. As Microsoft’s Cloud business matures and infrastructure expansion accelerates, Data Centers are central to supporting customer demands. The Lease Program Manager is responsible for driving on-time delivery of lease construction projects within the region. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Construction Project Managers, Lessors, and the Data Center Engineering team to track projects, assess risks, and resolve issues to minimize business impact. This role also involves triaging project delays and ensuring compliance with Microsoft standards for Data Center turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning and construction of contracted Data Centers.
  • Align and drive construction project management process requirements across the region.
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues for optimal mitigation planning.
  • Advocate for safe working practices.
  • Develop strategies to improve quality and schedule predictability.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on readiness requirements.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field with extensive experience.
  • In-depth experience working on data center projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional accreditation in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
  • Senior client-facing project management experience, including on-site construction management.
  • Construction Management, Architectural, or MEP background.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in construction or engineering of data centers/Mission Critical Facilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software like Microsoft Project or Primavera.

Certifications:

  • Certifications for Chartered Engineers (CEng) with any professional engineering institution.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
