The Cross-Solutions team, part of the Microsoft Commercial Solutions organization, leverages deep subject matter expertise to enable sales teams and partners to deliver customized solutions and services built on a secure, integrated cloud platform. Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with customers, leveraging consultation methods and technical expertise to understand customer needs and showcase how Microsoft solutions can address them.
- Own the technical decision-making process for sales opportunities by tailoring messages, presenting ideas, and guiding customers in decision-making.
- Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions, proof of concepts, and pilots to showcase the capabilities of Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability and Data Services.
- Develop technical knowledge to support the implementation and enhancement of Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability solutions.
- Identify and mitigate technical, architectural, and competitive blockers for customer opportunities.
- Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering regarding market strategies and product requirements.
- Assist customers in identifying their data challenges related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulations and support them in building data strategies.
- Act as a liaison between partners and account teams, facilitating resource allocation and addressing skill gaps within partnerships.
- Drive Azure Data Services growth and support partner and field sales through technical training and enablement.
- Conduct customer technical training and enablement, assessing technical resources to identify capacity risks for successful go-live.
- Understand regional and global sustainability frameworks and regulations, such as the GHG Protocol, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND at least 4 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND at least 6 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR
- 8 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High technical aptitude and hands-on experience working with Data and Analytical Solutions.
- Significant experience architecting and/or deploying Data solutions for enterprise-class customers.
- Experience developing strategies and architectures for cloud workloads, including IaaS and PaaS solutions.
- Ability to influence and drive change with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge in areas such as Database administration (preferably with SQL), Database development, Business intelligence, Advanced data analytics, Big Data implementation, and software development.
