About
The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, dedicated to building and selling Microsoft Cloud applications, services, and devices with partners. As a Partner Solution Architect, you will collaborate closely with partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives. Your role will involve guiding partners through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and transitioning them from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring their solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency. You will be pivotal in helping significant partners design and implement innovative, scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet market needs. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving, and systems architecture, you will drive business impact, enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and fostering innovation through effective use of cloud technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
  • OR a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 3+ years experience in technical consulting, consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience
  • 6-10+ years of related experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with a deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging trends like generative AI
  • Strong background and in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft's Azure Infrastructure and App Innovation
  • Experience in cloud architecture, migration, and optimization is highly desirable

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a Partner Solution Architect will include:

  • Designing Cloud Architectures: Ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs, allowing businesses to handle growth and changing demands efficiently.
  • Leading Architectural Design Sessions: Facilitate the creation of effective cloud solutions through collaborative planning and design sessions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Developing Proof of Concepts and Pilots: Demonstrate proposed cloud solutions' feasibility and benefits, gaining partner buy-in and driving adoption.
  • Providing Technical Guidance and Support: Ensure successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions, enhancing partner satisfaction and solution performance.
  • Transitioning Partners from Legacy Systems: Facilitate smooth transitions to modern cloud environments, improving operational efficiency and reducing risks.
