The Global & Region Expansion team is responsible for driving the global growth and expansion of Azure commercial cloud and AI regions. This team leads the strategic planning and development of regional infrastructure plans for new and expanding regions to meet technical design, schedule, and cost requirements.

We are hiring a Technical Program Manager for our Geo Expansion function, focusing on new region launches and existing region expansion planning within the Middle East and Africa.
This role involves managing cross-functional infrastructure strategy to support our rapidly scaling data center infrastructure. You will program manage strategy and planning for Microsoft’s new cloud region launches and regional expansions, driving clarity and decisions on infrastructure sourcing signals by collaborating with Azure, Finance, and Infrastructure acquisition teams.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the new and existing expansion cloud region strategy and planning processes
- Coordinate inputs for planning of new region launches and existing region expansions across infrastructure acquisition and Azure
- Manage the infrastructure decision process to drive decisions on time in alignment with our strategy
- Drive close collaboration with planning and execution teams to resolve infrastructure problems
- Perform data analysis as required for driving infrastructure decisions
Qualifications:
- Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in cross-functional program management, particularly in a strategy, planning, and decision-making environment
- 5+ years’ experience in data and analysis for decision making
- 5+ years’ demonstrated experience leading and managing a business-critical function
- BS/BA degree required
- Ability to communicate and present complex analysis at the executive levels for alignment and decision making
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build buy-in and support
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in planning cloud-specific infrastructure
