About the Job
As a Business Applications Technical Specialist, you will work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs, goals, and challenges, showcasing how Dynamics 365 can facilitate their transformation. Your role will involve providing reassurance throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with customer requirements and expectations. By leveraging your technical expertise, communication skills, and customer-focused approach, you will inspire and influence customers to choose Dynamics 365.

The mission of Microsoft Business Applications is to assist customers in digitally transforming their businesses to drive new revenue sources, enhance customer engagement, and improve business operations for greater profitability. You will manage functional business processes and technical workloads within Microsoft's Business Applications sales organization, collaborating with important customers. Your key responsibility will involve addressing end-to-end business transformation needs by enacting, designing, and demonstrating solutions that are mapped to business value.

You will take part in the entire sales cycle and work alongside various stakeholders, including the Business Applications sales team, Microsoft partners, other Technical Specialists, and the Customer Success team. Your collaboration will be vital in identifying and successfully executing pipeline and customer solutions for your assigned category.

As a Technology Specialist focused on Business Applications, you will specialize in the Service category, which includes Customer Service, Omnichannel, and Field Service.

Responsibilities

  • Workload and Business Process: Attain technical workload expertise in the assigned category of Business Applications products.
  • Business Value-led Presales: Participate in discovery sessions to outline customer-agreed business challenges and win themes prioritized by business value. Develop effective customer-centric solution assessments and compelling presentations to enhance win rates.
  • Strategic Proactive Selling: Augment deal execution throughout the customer journey while meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Collaborate with Business Applications Sales Executives to discover and engage opportunities that drive category performance.
  • Build Relationships: Establish positive connections with Business Decision Makers (BDMs) and CxOs across category-specific roles, ensuring alignment with business value through targeted personas.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical pre-sales or consulting experience coupled with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable enterprise-scale customer experience solutions.
  • Expertise in one or more areas related to presales, post-sales consulting, or IT application implementation/management.
  • Extensive experience in designing and driving a solution strategy as part of the overall opportunity lifecycle.

Preferred:

  • Experience in identifying and successfully executing pipeline and customer solutions in collaboration with sales leaders.
  • Strong collaborative capabilities with technical teams designing cloud-based customer solutions.
  • Proven success in demonstrating solution value and competitive advantage.
  • Experience delivering customer-facing technical demonstrations to enterprise decision-makers.
