You will enable customer transformation by leading the global sales strategy, enabling technical sales, driving sales motion innovation, and revenue execution for the Data & AI Commercial Solution Area in the UAE.
The main goal of Microsoft Technology Specialists (TS) is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use Microsoft technology and cloud services, specifically for databases, analytics (including Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric), and the Azure AI Platform. As a TS, you will help customers’ technical evaluators and decision-makers make informed decisions, as well as identify new opportunities through your contacts and engagements for sales specialists to pursue.
You will work as part of a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and help achieve/exceed quarterly sales targets in your accounts. This role allows you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions with customers, utilizing consultative sales methodologies and technical expertise to understand customer needs and demonstrate how Microsoft solutions can address them.
- Build technical strategies that map the agreed customer vision into a coherent plan, resolve concerns, remove technical blockers, and validate strong business cases for investment.
- Drive technical assessments to create a map of the current landscape and build migration and modernization plans.
- Design solutions using technical knowledge and consultancy skills, ensuring technical decision-makers agree with the proposed architecture.
- Drive proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilots to create momentum for MVPs, showcasing key AI technologies where appropriate.
- Identify new opportunities within customer engagements and act as a trusted advisor to understand customer pain points, designing and offering solutions to technical leaders.
- Maintain and grow expertise in Data Modernization, Analytics and Data Warehousing scenarios, and AI technologies, staying updated with market trends and competitive insights.
- Collaborate effectively with partners, acting as a liaison to facilitate partner resources and processes.
- Develop customer technical skilling plans in collaboration with customers and account teams.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience OR
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience OR
- Equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Data and Analytics platforms, including but not limited to Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra, and various cloud databases.
- Experience leveraging partner solutions to address customer needs.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to present technical product demonstrations effectively.
- Deep domain knowledge in Analytics Platforms and hands-on experience with relevant programming languages.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of managing stakeholder relationships to achieve consensus on solutions/projects.
