As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive security architecture for the Azure cloud environment, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Azure Cloud Security Architecture: Develop and implement security controls across Azure services, including networking, storage, compute, and identity services.
- Identity Management: Support design and configuration of Azure Active Directory for user identities, roles, and access controls.
- Network Security Controls: Design secure network architecture in Azure, including configurations for virtual networks and firewalls.
- Data Security: Implement technical & policy level controls for protecting sensitive data, including encryption and access controls.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre for monitoring Azure resources and conducting risk assessments.
- Secure Software Development & DevOps: Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
- Zero Trust Security Principles: Develop a zero-trust security model for Azure infrastructure ensuring security across all layers.
- Security Policies & Standards: Develop and implement security policies for Azure cloud services and train technical stakeholders in best practices.
- Secure 3rd Party Integrations: Assess and manage secure integrations with 3rd party applications.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in designing secure cloud infrastructures and knowledge of cloud security frameworks.
- Proficiency in secure network design and management of identity and access systems.
- Experience with encryption technologies, disaster recovery planning, and cloud security tools.
- A focus on compliance with industry standards such as ISO27001, PCI DSS, and GLI Technical Standards.
Experience:
- 5-10 years in information security or cloud-based IT infrastructure.
- Proven experience with Azure security features and leading security architecture roles.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement remediation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cyber Security.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and other security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, etc.) are preferred.
