Department Overview
Our technology platforms in communications, software, video, and services are vital for our customers, often referred to as their lifeline. We are offering a challenging internship that provides a foundational understanding of the role of a System Engineer within a global and diverse organization. Interns will be involved in large-scale projects for key customers in the KSA region, learning from experienced subject matter experts while earning compensation for their training in the technology industry.
Job Description
As a Junior System Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist Lead Engineers with pre-sale design and post-sale implementation technical support for two-way radio and other communication products for Motorola Solutions Public Safety Customer accounts.
- Collaborate with teams including Sales, System Integrators, Product Engineers, Program Managers, and Senior Systems Engineers to implement wireless communication solutions incorporating voice, data, and integrated infrastructure systems.
- Partner with Systems Engineers to conduct customer needs assessments and analysis, perform RF coverage and interference predictions, design equipment layouts and antenna configurations, determine RF Link budgets and Telco requirements, perform coverage and operational testing, and design and configure communications networks.
Basic Requirements
To be successful as a System Engineer Intern, you should possess:
- Ability to present technical materials to non-technical audiences.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of RF propagation, wireless, microwave, and/or telecommunications networks (preferred).
- Understanding of communications networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP, MPLS) (preferred).
- Certifications through CompTIA or Amateur Radio (preferred).
