The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in the development of next-generation technologies in fraud detection and prevention. This position involves contributing to the high-performance Software as a Service (SaaS) platform capable of processing a large volume of transactions per second. The ideal candidate will bring innovative concepts from various domains, such as information retrieval, distributed computing, and artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance high-performance software components.
- Write clean and maintainable code and conduct peer code-reviews to ensure code quality.
- Participate in a DevOps/agile team with full lifecycle and full-stack responsibilities, including design, development, testing, and support activities.
- Develop unit tests for a continuous integration environment.
- Identify and implement best practices for coding and development processes.
- Act as a trusted contributor requiring little to no supervision, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and exceed goals.
- Collaborate with Scrum Master, Product Management, and other professionals across the organization.
- Engage in self-reflection to enhance personal growth and team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- MSc/BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred; professional certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in fraud prevention or fintech is advantageous.
- Excellent bilingual verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid experience with Go programming language is a must.
- Hands-on experience with concurrency.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with software revision control tools, such as Git.
- Ability to explain complex system issues clearly.
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, and Redis.
- Ability to collaborate within a large interdisciplinary team on complex engineering problems.
