About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding Osos (Language Intelligence) team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-level product architecture, analyzing project requirements, mentoring junior engineers, writing efficient code for ML/AI and data applications, integrating algorithms, deploying solutions, conducting testing, maintaining software, and participating in code reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis and understanding of complex project requirements, identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
- Write efficient, testable, scalable, and reusable Python code for ML/AI and data applications.
- Supervise solution deployments and provide expert guidance for optimal software functioning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployed systems at a higher level.
- Strategize updates to existing code as needed.
- Research and document solutions, aligning with the latest technologies.
- Collaborate with Product Management, data science, and engineering teams, as well as stakeholders across the organization.
- Lead and facilitate code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior team members.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, deployment processes, issues encountered, and their resolutions.
- Plan, develop, and oversee testing procedures, ensuring quality standards alignment.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide project updates, and manage complex issues or changes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation, and adherence to quality standards within the team.
- Mentor junior software engineers and participate in strategic planning to define technical priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficient in algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and object-oriented software design in Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Golang, C++, or Java.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Apache Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed computing principles.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices in automated testing.
- Frontend experience with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and knowledge of responsive design principles is preferable.
- Understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is a plus.
