About the Job:

The Data Management Specialist role within NEOM Operations will focus on establishing business glossaries, metadata repositories, workflows, and master and reference datasets. Key responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and visualizing current system data to provide actionable insights for NEOM Operations. The successful candidate will analyze data, produce reports, conduct ETL processes, and collaborate with various teams to ensure continuous improvement of the NEOM Operations data management platform.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and gather data from diverse sources, including internal systems and external databases.
  • Design and implement scalable, efficient data storage solutions using Snowflake; write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
  • Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools.
  • Create, test, and implement enterprise-level apps with Snowflake.
  • Clean and transform data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for automated data flow and integration.
  • Identify key trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
  • Build predictive models and analytical tools for forecasting future trends.
  • Maintain strong coding and scripting skills in relevant programming languages (Python, R, DAX, SQL).
  • Collaborate on NEOM operations IT strategy and roadmap.
  • Document roles for data types, sources, and purposes, while ensuring compliance with retention schedules and security requirements.
  • Guide and train users in metadata management, updating the metadata repository accordingly.
  • Ensure master data integrity across key systems and maintain processes for data quality.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues through effective strategies.
  • Support the definition and implementation of data quality rules and checks.
  • Assist NEOM Operations in setting up business glossaries, metadata repositories, workflows, and retention cycles.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture, and governance.
  • Solid understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes, and design principles.
  • Proven experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with metadata management, data quality, and stewardship tools and platforms.
  • Experience in Snowflake modeling, data lakes, multi-dimensional models, and data dictionaries.
  • Proven track record in operating large data governance programs.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based big data frameworks, including relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience managing enterprise data assets in complex organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of CAFM systems and SAP.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics, or a related technical field; relevant work experience will also be considered.
