About the Job
The Manager of Security Operations will oversee the security team in the region, which includes inspectors and shift supervisors. This role involves reporting daily to the Senior Security Manager and Director, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professionalism within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Conducting regular site assessments to identify security risks and vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborating with internal departments such as facilities, human resources, and legal to address security-related issues.
- Monitoring and maintaining security systems including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Investigating security incidents and providing detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Staying informed about industry best practices and emerging security technologies.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and security service providers.
- Developing and delivering security training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Managing access control procedures, including the issuance and revocation of access credentials.
- Overseeing the implementation and testing of emergency response plans.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant years of experience in security or a related field, with a strong leadership background.
- In-depth knowledge of security operations and best practices.
- Familiarity with security systems including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Experience conducting site security assessments.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- CPR/First Aid certification and relevant security certifications are advantageous.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
- Additional certifications or training in security and related fields are beneficial.
- Proven experience in security management, with prior experience in the Middle East or on Mega-Projects being a plus.
