Your day at NTT DATA
The primary responsibility of the Network and Security Engineer is to provide technical support to NTT clients. This role is able to compile technical specifications in a clear, concise, unambiguous manner to explain the advantages and disadvantages of options leading to the final solution and are able to create alternative solutions as backup planning. This role works towards professional to expert level certification, whilst at the same time developing business knowledge. 8 to 9 years of UAE / GCC experience in a similar role is required for this position.

What You'll Be Doing
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients on site and remote to meet complex requirements of a solution.
  • Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.
  • Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications to a first-line resolution.
  • Escalate complex problems to the relevant third parties.
  • Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes.
  • Act as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
  • Assume responsibility for the coordination of the activities of the junior Engineers, in line with performance targets.
  • Included in higher complexity design work, with input to the design expected.
  • Expected to take ownership of relevant technologies according to domain or specialization.

Academic Qualification and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related.
  • Professional level certification in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNP, JNCIS, ACMP, CISSP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.
  • CCIE certification (optional).

Required Experience:

  • Seasoned work experience in technical implementation engineering, specific to Networking technologies.
  • Seasoned experience engaging with clients and conducting presentations.
  • Seasoned experience in Networking technologies such as routing, switching, Wireless, SDI distribution, core and access layers.
  • Seasoned experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Additional Requirements:

  • Thorough hands-on and good technical know-how on FortiGate, Palo Alto NGFWs, F5 Load Balancers cum Web Application Firewall (including Top 10 OWASP Exploits and Mitigation Techniques).
  • Adequate hands-on with Cisco Nexus Switching, ACI Fabric, OSPF Routing, Static and PBR.
  • Sound knowledge on Micro-segmentation concepts.
  • Theoretical/Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure Private Cloud Networking, and Cloud Security techniques.
  • Good know-hows/hands-on with any of the SDWAN products, services (preferably Cisco Meraki).
  • Likewise, should be familiar with Cisco Meraki Wireless, Cisco Meraki Switching or any other OEM Switching, Wireless products.

Operational & technical responsibilities:

  • Business Transformation Initiatives – Deployment and operational support.
  • Key Projects – IT Service Delivery ownership.
  • Service Delivery – BAU support.
  • Adherence to Security, Compliance, Regulatory, Business Continuity, and audit requirements.
  • Upkeep High Availability Network, Network Security Infrastructure in DC, DR, and Private Cloud.
  • Ensure 4 9s Uptime across the on-prem DC, DR, and Cloud.
  • Maintain healthy relationships across regional Vendors and ISPs.
  • Contribute towards KEDB, SOPs, Process/Policies documentation.
  • Participate in regular DR, Patching Cycle exercise.
  • Be a good team player and is keen to mentor junior Engineer(s) in the team.
