This expert-level role involves translating clients’ cybersecurity requirements and customizing and implementing security solutions tailored to specific systems, applications, and product designs. You will be responsible for identifying and developing security solutions using both company products and outsourced technology solutions. As a consultant, you will work closely with clients to ensure secure product configuration, deployment, and timely security patches to minimize vulnerabilities.
Your role will also encompass comprehensive scanning, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and monitoring services, providing detailed reports to clients. You will guide clients in developing and implementing product security controls.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on information security practices aligned with best practices, standards, and regulations.
- Develop and enhance cybersecurity strategies for clients, including Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS).
- Ensure clients’ cybersecurity frameworks meet regulatory and industry requirements through assessments and designs.
- Develop Cyber resiliency Risk Management methodologies and lead engagements to identify and remediate risk and compliance gaps.
- Plan and implement cybersecurity projects, both technically and organizationally.
- Support the sales team in expanding business with existing clients and building new business.
- Participate in infrastructure and application project teams, providing consultation on information security architectures.
- Travel as required (up to 50% at times).
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Serve as a single point of contact for client leadership on new cybersecurity requirements or questions.
- Independently determine methods and procedures on new assignments and manage medium-sized teams and/or work efforts.
- Apply knowledge and experience effectively in providing cybersecurity advisory services to external clients.
- Drive security architecture conversations with clients related to cybersecurity assurance and operations.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC, or CompTIA Security+.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting.
- Experienced in Cloud Security Projects and Concepts.
- Proven track record in leading projects, managing resources, ensuring quality, and tracking budgets.
- Advanced experience in the Information Technology Security Industry, with a focus on security architecture design principles.
- Familiarity with industry compliance and standards such as ISO 27000, PCI:DSS, NIST, HIPAA, SAMA, and NCA.
- Proficient in security tools and techniques for areas covering SANS Top 25, OWASP, and others.
- Experience working in a multi-team environment across various geographies.
