Position

We are Amazon; we pioneer. Since opening in 1995, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of possible further and further. We’re also working to become Earth’s most customer-centric company. We’re seeking a driven IT Manager to join our Fulfillment & Operations IT team, who keep our busy Fulfillment Centers running. These facilities operate 24/7, handling and coordinating a vast, fast-moving inventory of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure IT maintenance work and troubleshooting is conducted to a high standard, adhering to Amazon policies and guidelines, specifically around IT and Health & Safety.
  • Lead the coordination of trouble tickets and change management, adhering to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage IT projects and oversee your team’s execution of technical tasks, ensuring effective reporting and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget through its lifecycle.
  • Inspire and support IT skill development for Fulfillment Center staff.
  • Lead staffing, hours, and shifts, including team scheduling.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT team processes and initiatives within the Fulfillment department.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Understanding of core internet technologies, including DHCP, DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP, and network file systems.
  • CISCO experience and certifications.
  • Certifications in Unix/Linux System support and/or Microsoft Windows system support.
  • Telecom knowledge, including VOIP/SIP and mobile technologies.
  • Previous help desk/technical support and/or Service Delivery and Service Level Management experience.
  • ITIL and Prince2 certifications would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to develop skills needed to support specific Fulfillment Center Automated Systems.
  • Experience in procurement, inventory, and asset management of IT equipment.

Language Requirements: Preferably applications should be submitted in English.
