As an Autonomous Database Specialist, you will deliver technical and procedural guidance to assist customers in defining platform requirements and realizing subscription value. This role involves collaboration with customers and internal teams, including other specialists and product management, throughout the entire lifecycle from pre-sales to consumption. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical specialist in Cloud, Database, and Data Centre infrastructure. You will work in an international environment, providing expert problem-solving and value articulation.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide customers using or adopting Autonomous Database to achieve platform excellence by implementing best practices and supporting tools in Infrastructure, Database Workload, and Autonomous Database Security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to collect relevant inputs for comprehensive solutions.
- Accelerate customer opportunities with technical presentations, workshops, solution assistance, and proofs of concept (POC).
- Research and evaluate emerging solutions and services for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product management to steer features based on customer requirements.
- Create compelling external publications and internal documentation focusing on Autonomous Database and recommended workload processes.
Requirements
- Relevant Solution Engineering experience with a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders for strategic conversations around Autonomous Database, especially with C-level executives.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database and Database Administration.
- Experience in Exadata Cloud Services, Data Centre Networking, and Security.
- General knowledge of hybrid Cloud offerings and converged database concepts.
- Knowledge of Data Centre topologies and deep knowledge of Database Architecture.
- Strong understanding of OCI, including hands-on experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues in hybrid cloud environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
