About the Job
We are looking for a passionate Cloud Solution Engineer to drive customer success by acting as a trusted advisor. In this role, you will build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and retention. You will collaborate with our sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable Oracle cloud solutions. Your responsibilities will include conducting technical discovery sessions to gather detailed business and technical requirements, architecting comprehensive cloud solutions that align with industry best practices, and presenting Oracle cloud solutions to customers.
You will be responsible for creating and delivering technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation while staying updated on the latest cloud technologies by working closely with Oracle's product management and engineering teams. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance during the sales cycle, including proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot projects, analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies, and lead cross-functional Oracle teams to help customers design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud architecture and solutions.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in technology and industry, with X+ years working with public cloud platforms.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a customer-facing role such as Pre-Sales Solution Architect, focusing on enterprise cloud solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant hyperscaler cloud certifications.
- Experience or strong familiarity with cloud implementation and adoption cycles.
- Experience with open-source, cloud-native, and Oracle technologies.
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Participate in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions.
- Work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into solutions.
- Implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.
- Display product/application understanding through customized presentations and demonstrations.
- Support customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services.
- Create and distribute technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations).
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
