The MySQL Business Unit is looking for a MySQL Solution Engineer to assist customers in understanding and utilizing our MySQL products. We seek an expert in building modern data platforms with MySQL, familiar with typical data management solutions like relational databases and NoSQL databases. If you understand developer needs and are familiar with Java and/or Python, as well as frameworks like Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform, you should consider applying. Role & Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the MySQL Solution Engineering team focused on driving MySQL adoption.
• Handle a high volume of engagements in the fast-paced open-source database market.
• Maintain strong technical database knowledge and differentiate between varied database approaches (relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.).
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of MySQL.
• Identify leads for potential partnerships and customer opportunities in the MySQL community.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define the product roadmap and market positioning for MySQL offerings.
• Support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL.
• Facilitate customer product understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and support throughout the sales process.
• Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Solution Engineers.
• Focus on large or complex sales opportunities that require creative and complex solutions.
