Position

About the Job
As a member of the Support organization, you will deliver post-sales support and solutions to Oracle's customer base while advocating for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries as well as technical questions about the use and troubleshooting of our Electronic Support Services. You will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, facilitating relationships with Support and providing guidance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong performance tuning skills, including query-level tuning, database tuning, and memory-level tuning.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Oracle Database, Goldengate, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Data Guard, Backup, and Recovery.
  • Use strong DBA skills and relevant working experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
  • Implement high availability features of Oracle Database effectively.
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c/13c as needed.
  • Have knowledge of database security solutions such as AVDF, DB Vault, Oracle Key Vault, e-Wallet, and TDE as advantages.
  • Employ sharp technical troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of support processes.
  • Manage escalated technical situations and create action plans to address them.
  • Spot proactive services that can benefit customers.
  • Facilitate issues between Development and Support while managing Golden Gate configuration and performance tuning.
  • Maintain strong business communication skills with sales, pre-sales, technical account managers, and customers. Presentation skills are essential.
  • Exhibit a passion for business growth and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA.
  • Proficient in performance tuning and Oracle Database management.
  • Experienced with implementing high availability features of Oracle Database.
