As a Private Cloud and Edge Specialist, you will focus on our Distributed Cloud offerings, which deliver the full functionality and superior economics of Oracle’s public cloud directly to customer data centers and edge locations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and optimize Private Cloud and Edge solutions utilizing Compute Cloud at Customer, Roving Edge Device, and associated cloud products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to create scalable and efficient architectures for Private and Edge Cloud.
- Provide deep technical expertise and support for Cloud solutions.
- Accelerate customer opportunities through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC), and solution assistance.
- Conduct workshops on strategy, architecture, and planning for cloud solutions.
- Advise internal and external clients on comprehensive architectural solutions.
Skills and Profile:
- Solid experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, with a strong understanding of customer issues related to their journey to the Cloud.
- Background in Cloud Architecture (IaaS & PaaS) is essential.
- Knowledge of hardware platforms and virtualization technologies, along with cloud migration projects, is required.
- Familiarity with networking design and protocols, as well as the Oracle stack, is crucial.
- Cloud certifications from Oracle, AWS, Azure, or Google are advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and technical staff effectively.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
