Position

The Private Cloud and Edge Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team and customers in designing and shaping cloud solutions. Oracle’s Distributed Cloud offerings deliver full functionality and superior economics of public cloud services to customer data centers and edge locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and optimize Private Cloud and Edge solutions using Compute Cloud at Customer (C3), Roving Edge Infrastructure (REI), and associated cloud products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to design scalable and efficient architectures for Private and Edge Cloud.
  • Provide deep technical expertise and support for C3, REI, and similar technologies.
  • Accelerate customer opportunities through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC) sessions, and solution assistance.
  • Create compelling written assets for external publications and internal documentation.
  • Interact with various customer roles, including CIOs, CTOs, IT Architects, and technical staff.
  • Develop and enhance Oracle presentations and demonstrations while leading the technical sales process.
  • Guide customers through their cloud journey starting with Oracle’s on-prem cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Cloud Solution Architect with a focus on understanding customer issues in their cloud journey.
  • Strong understanding and experience in Cloud Architecture (IaaS & PaaS).
  • Knowledge of cloud competitors, including AWS, GCP, and Azure, and their hybrid cloud offerings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical concepts effectively to C-level executives.
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
