The physical security operations team serves as the primary interface with all clients, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met with high-quality, industry-standard programs and services. Oracle is seeking a senior security professional to join our team, focusing on data center operational security, guard force management, crisis management programs, risk assessments, incident response, and investigations. The successful candidate will lead and develop teams, products, and services within the Global Physical Security (GPS) operations line of business. This position carries significant responsibilities across the Middle East and Southern Africa, requiring periodic regional and global travel. This role is an individual contributor position with oversight of contracted security staff but no direct reports.
Essential Functions:
- Provide operational direction and oversight for GPS strategic initiatives in data center operational security.
- Manage security guard force operations at internal and external data center locations.
- Collaborate with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulators to ensure physical security compliance.
- Respond to incidents and manage crises.
- Offer customer service support for Oracle employees regarding physical security.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial security experience, with at least 7 years in senior management/leadership roles within physical security/data center operations.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific legislation and compliance for physical security operations.
- Experience with crisis management at the corporate level.
- Familiarity with security technology resources such as access control and CCTV systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills at all corporate levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Education:
- A BS/BA Degree is desirable but not mandatory.
- Industry certifications are preferred but not required.
Language Requirements:
- Proficient communication abilities in both written and verbal formats.
This position carries significant responsibility and operational impact on the business function, reporting directly to the GPS Director of Global Data Center Security Operations based in the USA, with limited supervision.
