Position

Penta Consulting is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive System Support Engineer to join our client's team, supporting a diverse range of clients. This primarily office-based role in Dubai may require travel to customer sites across the UAE as necessary.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support for IBM Storage technologies, including:
- IBM Flash Systems
- IBM Desk Systems
- IBM Application Library Systems
- IBM Fusion Solution
- IBM Elastic Storage Server (ESS)
Provide L1/L2 support for server and virtualization platforms:
- VMware virtualization technologies
- Lenovo servers (essential)
- Dell and HP servers (preferred)
Support and troubleshoot IBM Power Systems at L1/L2 levels.
Respond to technical issues both remotely and on-site, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver high-quality support services.
Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and resolutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices relevant to the role.

Skills & Experience Required:

Demonstrable experience in a similar technical support or systems engineering role.
Strong technical knowledge of:
- IBM Storage and Power Systems
- VMware virtualization
- Lenovo, Dell, and HP server hardware
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Willingness to travel within the UAE for on-site support assignments.
