Responsibilities
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques while providing ongoing reports.
- Investigate the rationale behind the numbers by asking questions and seeking solutions.
- Create and implement databases, data collection systems, and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Clean and filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to address code issues.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Engage with IT and data owners to grasp the types of data collected across various databases and warehouses.
- Travel to customer locations as required.
- Work effectively in a multicultural, geographically diverse environment.
- Adhere to QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Compliance Management, and Governance protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis.
- Familiarity with big data tools (Hive, Spark, SQL) is desirable; ETL experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data visualization competencies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A self-driven, motivated, results-oriented, and customer-centric focus.
Ideally, You’ll Also Need
- A knack for conceptual design and abstract thinking.
- Proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Technical knowledge regarding data models, database development, data mining, and segmentation tactics.
- Proficiency in reporting tools like Business Objects, SQL databases, and programming in XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and proficiency in statistical packages for data analysis.
