Presight, an ADX-listed public company and a leader in big data analytics powered by Artificial Intelligence, is seeking a meticulous and expert Engineer - Site Reliability. In this role, you will help build and support our delivery model that empowers product and technology teams to deliver high-quality products, improve platform infrastructure, and strengthen the reliability of our products and solutions. Your work will involve collaborating with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems, automating and streamlining operations, and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the infrastructure required to run our solutions deployed to public or private clouds.
- Deploy application updates.
- Monitor technical and business metrics to ensure the health of the environment, setting up alerts for potential issues and actions.
- Respond promptly and precisely to emergency events.
- Enable the engineering team to execute the roadmap while addressing roadblocks as needed.
- Identify, evaluate, and conduct proof-of-concepts for new technologies.
- Contribute to the knowledge base and analyze service performance to identify bottlenecks, providing measurable improvement plans.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, developing trusted advisor relationships by understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
- Comply with policies related to Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, and Governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters.
- 3+ years of experience in configuring/tuning observability platforms (preferably Prometheus; relevant alternatives include Datadog, Splunk, NewRelic, CloudWatch).
- Strong Linux knowledge.
- Good understanding of message queues (preferably RabbitMQ; relevant alternatives include ActiveMQ, Kafka, SNS, SQS).
- Experience using Elasticsearch (ELK stack).
- Solid understanding of network concepts.
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Python).
