About the Job
Presight is seeking a Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in our Smart City products and offerings. This dynamic professional will work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements, translating these needs into comprehensive solution specifications and crafting responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and smart city initiatives, with the ability to deliver innovative, scalable, and customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their smart city initiatives, challenges, and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design tailored IoT solutions that align with clients' goals and technical specifications.
- Design and develop IoT architecture for various smart city use cases, including Energy, Transportation, Public Safety, and Environmental Management.
- Conduct research on new IoT technologies and evaluate the feasibility of various solutions.
- Assess technology requirements, including IoT devices, sensors, cloud computing, and data analytics, for effective implementation.
- Evaluate technical capabilities and security of new technologies and vendors.
- Create necessary technical, sales collaterals, and process documentation for new smart city service offerings to support our go-to-market strategy.
- Define and implement security protocols to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Stay abreast of emerging IoT technologies and recommend solutions to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and security teams for proper due diligence and risk assessments.
Qualifications
To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years in designing and implementing IoT solutions for smart cities or similar projects.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of enterprise-grade IoT platforms and open-source platforms.
- Strong understanding of IoT architecture, protocols, and security measures.
- Experience with Edge computing and Network protocols (e.g., MQTT, COAP).
- Knowledge in Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with IoT programming languages and software development methodologies.
- Excellent project management, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
