Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is seeking a Lead iOS/macOS Developer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. TII is a global scientific research center that advances technologies in various fields, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cryptography, and biotechnology. The role involves leading iOS/macOS development initiatives and requires extensive technical expertise in software development, strong leadership skills, and a passion for innovation.
The Lead iOS/macOS Developer will leverage their extensive experience in Swift, XCode, and relevant frameworks to provide technical guidance, ensuring the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions aligned with project objectives. A comprehensive understanding of macOS/iOS principles, multi-threading, networking, design patterns, and optimization techniques will be critical in architecting robust applications. Additionally, the role entails collaborating with the Cryptography Research Center to build and commercialize proprietary post-quantum protocols and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MacOS/iOS development initiatives, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
- Architect applications using deep knowledge of macOS/iOS principles, including resource management and memory management.
- Apply expertise in multi-threading, RESTful API integration, and networking to create resilient applications.
- Implement design patterns and object-oriented programming techniques to ensure codebase scalability and maintainability.
- Optimize applications for performance using XCode developer tools.
- Develop macOS system extensions to enhance application functionality.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in macOS/iOS development with proficiency in Swift, XCode, and relevant frameworks.
- Extensive knowledge of macOS/iOS principles, including resource management and process handling.
- Strong understanding of multi-threading, RESTful API integration, and networking (TCP/IP stack).
- Proficiency in design patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVC) and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience in optimizing applications using XCode developer tool instruments.
- Proven track record in developing macOS system extensions.
- Knowledge of cryptography basics (PKI, key management, Keychains) is advantageous.
