Role & Responsibilities:

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement security measures into the development and operations processes.
• Support and maintain security tools and automation scripts to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Implement and manage security controls for cloud-based environments, with a focus on GCP. Experience with Azure is a plus.
• Utilize scripting and coding skills in languages like JavaScript/TypeScript (required), Python, Shell, or PowerShell for effective implementation.
• Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and efficient development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in the context of security challenges.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in DevSecOps or a related role, with a focus on integrating security into development and operations processes.
• Strong programming and scripting skills, with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript (required) Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript is required. Knowledge of React, Redux, MEAN stack, Cypress is a plus.
• Familiarity with security tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, static analysis, and container security.
• Experience with cloud security, with a focus on GCP/AWS. Azure experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards and frameworks.
• Experience in the technology or cybersecurity industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of database security and SQL is a plus.
• CISSP, AWS Certified Security, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
