Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Product Owner to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate will take charge of defining and prioritising the product backlog while managing sprints to ensure the development team delivers high-value features to our customers. This position demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of agile principles and practices. The Product Owner will work closely with Business Analysts to ensure business requirements are thoroughly understood and with the Senior Technical Project Manager to align the backlog with the product roadmap and strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Backlog Management:

  • Create, prioritise, and maintain a well-defined product backlog.
  • Develop clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria reflecting customer and business needs.

• Sprint Management:

  • Collaborate with the development team during sprint planning to define the sprint goal and backlog items.
  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to track progress and address any issues.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify their needs and align the product with strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders.

• Product Delivery:

  • Work with the development team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality product increments.
  • Participate in sprint reviews to present completed work and gather feedback from stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in managing product backlogs and working with agile development teams.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Desirable Skills:

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent agile certification.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Markdown or other coding languages.
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and tools.
