Job Objective
Thales DIS - Gemalto, a world leader in Digital Security, has a strong presence in the Middle East, providing hardware, software, and consulting services to the government sector. The role includes supporting ongoing projects in Saudi Arabia related to e-ID and e-Passport, as well as programs in Oman, Qatar, and other regional projects. This is a transversal role that requires a strong willingness to travel as project needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design architecture for enterprise solutions, with a strong emphasis on design patterns and architectures.
- Develop both Backend and Frontend solutions using Java and related frameworks, alongside legacy Java EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Web services).
- Utilize database skills (SQL, JDBC) with any relational database management system (RDBMS).
- Work with application servers (e.g., Websphere/JBoss) and web servers (e.g., Tomcat/Apache).
- Document solutions clearly and adhere to security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and optimize architecture, code, data structures, and server resource usage.
- Maintain professional customer interactions, working onsite when necessary to achieve project milestones.
- Communicate proactively with peers and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- An engineering degree in Computer Science.
- Arabic speaker with fluent English skills.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in complex software projects.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud computing, micro-services, and C# programming.
- Familiarity with smart card technology and cryptography concepts.
- Experience with planning and scheduling tools, such as MS Project.
- Proficiency in version control systems and issue tracking.
