Position

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team, primarily focusing on marketing art and assisting in game production as needed. This individual contributor position requires expertise in Photoshop, video editing, and graphic design, as well as a full understanding of lighting, value structure, composition, and aesthetic sensibilities necessary for creating industry-competitive marketing visuals.

The Graphic Designer will compose attractive and engaging ads, including those for mobile, and collaborate with members of the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the production of highly engaging marketing graphic assets under the guidance of the marketing team.
  • Create app store materials, social media assets, studio branding, in-game store icons/banners/promotions, presentations, and web and print media requests.
  • Produce engaging videos for projects and the studio.
  • Ensure graphic elements adhere to the art direction style, maintaining consistency throughout the project.
  • Transform key marketing initiatives into high-quality consumer-facing visuals and video assets.
  • Monitor competitors to keep products innovative.
  • Conduct effective visual research and reference gathering.
  • Layout new and existing marketing collateral following corporate branding and style guidelines.
  • Develop engaging calls-to-action (CTA) to increase conversion through marketing assets.
  • Design print media materials, including merchandise and event installations.
  • Collaborate effectively, articulating ideas and issues clearly across disciplines.
  • Respond to deadlines and thrive under pressure, prioritizing work against schedules and tracking assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the gaming industry.
  • Experience in online advertising, marketing, promotions, and events.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas, both verbally and visually.
  • Interest in switching between different production roles.
  • Knowledge of basic e-commerce principles.
  • Awareness of technical constraints and demands in the advertising and gaming industries.
  • Familiarity with graphic/visual/stylistic trends in art, film, and games.
  • Excellent initiative, self-motivation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork abilities and capability to accept and follow directions.
  • Additional skills in video editing and familiarity with other software like Illustrator or InDesign, Zbrush, After Effects, and photography are advantageous.
